When dealing with the human body, nothing can be sustained without these 4 components working together. These components are depicted in the red and blue rings that surround the LEWIS Fitness & Performance logo.
The top red loop depicts the MINDSET component. This loop is red because it is our goal to instill a tenacious drive for each athlete to improve each and everyday they enter the facility. It is in the improvement of MINDSET that we look to provide a culture which instills life-long skills such as commitment, attitude, hard work, and dedication.
The red loop on the bottom represents MOVEMENT. The improvement of movement quality is of utmost importance. This is completed using the highest intensity methods in the strength & conditioning field, but is regulated by top strength & conditioning coaches using tools like the Functional Movement Screen to gauge the quality of movement and the overall safety of the program.
The top blue loop is illustrates the importance of NUTRITION in the overall development of an athlete. It is a simple fact that every athletes goals can be aided by the inclusion of a sound nutritional strategy. The focus of the LEWIS Fitness & Performance program is NOT on supplementation. You can not supplement a poor diet. The focus on the program will be the discussion of the most common mistakes made by young athletes today. Aspects like hydration, food quality, protein sources, energy drinks, skipping meals, etc. are all areas that can drastically affect performance during training and competition.
The bottom blue loop is portrays the RECOVERY aspect of the program. This starts with the realization that your workouts are only as good as your ability to recover from them. We will cover aspects like tissue quality, flexibility, sleep, and nutrition (post workout) is related to this component as well.
The orientation of the loops is important because at LEWIS Fitness & Performance we are always moving forward. Our philosophy keeps us open-minded towards exploring new ways to create the most rewarding training experience that will ensure the creation of sustainable results for every athlete that dedicates themselves to the program.
"Where Preparation Meets Opportunity" This slogan is used to help both the athletes and fitness clients realize that life offers opportunities all the time. The key to realizing those opportunities is the daily preparation takes place within the facility at LEWIS Fitness & Performance.
